Amazing place I just found. So friendly and helpful and great food. Best value place to eat in all of downtown

Talk about a whole in the wall... and WOW is this place good.. no menus.. buffet style.. and what's being made is constantly changing depending on the owners taste for the day. Tucked away a stone's throw away from the LACC and Staples you would be horribly disappointed if you didn't make it here. Amazing vibe and even better food.

Amazing. I spent all weekend wandering downtown LA, paying a fortune for poor food and poor service. Then I found this place... Amazing. Delicious cheap food and the warmest service you can imagine.

Found another one of LA's hidden gems... Open Monday through Friday 6 a.m. and have a buffet-style breakfast... a nice variety of Latin American goodies including pupusas, black beans, chorizo and eggs and the everyday staple of rice... LOL... You got to check it out the prices are reasonable I think it's a $ sign not $$... Owner Rodel is a very nice guy... Two thumbs up

My work took me to downtown for a couple of months from mid August to the end of Oct. 2009. We soon discovered this little place on the corner of Hope and 12th. The lady serving the guests is SUPER friendly. I'd hire her if I had a restaurant of my own. The food is authentic, fresh and prepared quickly. Great choice of beverages, especially Apricot and Guava nectars. The place is Eco-friendly, with recycling bins, cleverly marked! (You've got to see it!) The decor is not posh, but in very authentic Mexican style. I will miss this place!

Five years ago I had my first taste of how great the food is here when my son brought home some carnitas. This past week I've actually been here 3 times. The owner Cyndi is so sweet, warm and welcoming. I've tried their chicken, carnitas, breakfast burritos and the carne asada tacos. Everything has been delicious. This is a little cafe on the corner, nothing fancy, just good home cooked style foods and a must if you're in the area and worth the drive if you're not.

Loved this place! The reviews led me here, and they were all true. Cute little hole-in-the-wall with absolutely wonderful service, really tasty food that seems to be constantly changing, at a great price. Between my husband and my plates we had chicken, meatloaf, some kind of spicy braised pork (I think ???? idk exactly but it was delicious), a sope, heaps of a really tasty cucumber salad, and really good tortillas, plus a couple drinks for $26. I'm such an indecisive person, so getting to eat so many different things for such a reasonable price was amazing!
